Gold Jewelry
Gold is to your jewelry box what the little black dress is to your closet. It fits every occasion and goes with almost anything. And your wardrobe isn't complete without at least one. (One ring, one necklace, one bracelet ...)
Before you shop, review these golden facts:
- The word gold, used by itself, means all gold or 24 karat (24K).
- Any piece of jewelry that is less than 24 karat gold is mixed with another alloy metal. For example, if you buy a piece that says 14K then the piece is 14 parts of gold mixed with 10 parts of an alloy metal.
- The higher the karat rating, the higher the gold ratio. And, yes, the higher the price.
